Portfolio: Students entered their imaginary „worst day“ with past tense.

Games: Spell or Slime – spell the vocabulary words correctly. Sentence stacker – building the sentences using the correct verb tenses.

Introduction: In our notebooks we wrote about and discussed our “perfect day“ using past tense verbs:
I went to the park.
It was nice and warm.
I ate good hotdogs.
I saw many dogs.
I read my book.
Book work: We worked through pages 8-9 in the Student’s Book.
Test will be on Monday 2.10.
Homework: Work Book pages 6-7 due Monday 2.10.

Introduction: We started the class with the discussion of Rose, Bud, Thorn – the students answered with a good and bad part of their week and what they are looking forward to for the next week.
Portfolio: Created “your perfect day” in the Past Tense form –
I went to DisneyLand.
I saw Mickey Mouse and Pluto.
I played the fair games.
I ate a lot of good food.
I rode on all of the rollercoasters.
Videos:
Watched a short homemade lava lamp experimental video pertaining to this week’s science lab theme. Students can try to make the lava lamps at home with parental help!
Bookwork: Superminds pages 6 – 7, using listening, reading, writing and speaking skills
Unit Vocabulary and Phrases: phonics rhyming words – through, do, you. And friends, ends.

End of class: Hangman game at end of the class
Group activities and getting to know one another:
Drawing faces – Passing papers with names written on it so everyone can draw one facial feature of everyone’s face.
Time Capsule – Everyone brought in one item for the time capsule. Students loved it and the capsule will be open at the end of the year!
Two truths and a lie – A student will tell two truths and one lie about their life and the other students will guess. Uses critical thinking and you get to know the students.
Hot seat – Student uses the help of her classmates to guess the object written behind them
Hangman – End of class fun game everyone loves
Going over the textbooks – went over the rules of the class for next week and had a sneak peak of the content.
Poster – Finished the poster! Absent students need to add their bear and photo then the poster will be hung on the school wall!
Girl’s Chant
Homework due + day, date: Have the students bring in an item for time capsule. A small toy or note to future self. Bring in on Monday, 18.9.
Getting to Know One Another: We played interactive games to get to know each other.
Time Capsule: Everyone was asked to bring in an object or letter to future self. When presenting these items, the students were asked to describe why the items were important to them and to tell the class.
Group posters: Half-way finished!
Homework: Due 13.9. Students bring in an item for our Class Time Capsule.
Portfolio: Students received their new portfolios and decorated their covers.
Class Rules: As a class we reviewed the rules of behavior the students will follow this year.
Getting to know one another: We played interactive games to get to know each other.
Group poster: We started to create our new group mascot poster and learned about the Polar Bears.
