Test review today: Talked more about telling time, watched parts of this video on it and did this worksheet about it in groups. Used interactive clock to tell times, played this game in pairs.

Vocabulary review: went through the vocab again: definitions, spelling, writing, and photos

SB 38/39: We read the story in small groups, than did activity 1-4. The students all told me about the story and acted some parts out.

WB 38: Act 1 and 2

Games: Did runnning jeopardy in three teams, not only do they have to get the answer right but they run around the classroom, its a fun one. here

vocabulary tiles: We worked on spelling in groups with the tiles

SB pages 36 and 37.

SB 36: We sang with the class, boys versus girls. Then a freeze dance. Did activity 1 along side WB page 36 activity 1 and 2

SB 37: Introduced new grammar point telling time, should be a review for the kids.

Activities: We did a few telling time activities on the board, interactive clock, and some team work here.

Introduced new unit vocabulary. Talked about ‚rock n roll‘, watched videos for each new word.

Games: Spelling bee, Charades, and Bamboozle for music.

Students who missed the test last week completed it today in class whilst other students did a worksheet.

UNIT 2 TEST WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY 20.11

Intro: We began class with a game of Scattegories to warm up our brains.

Notebooks: In our notebooks we wrote down our dream vacation destination and three things we have to bring and two things we don’t have to bring on holiday with us.

New Grammar: We introduced our second grammar point of the unit: using have to and don’t have to to speak about rules and obligations.
Example:
We have to bring boots to the jungle.
She has to clean her room before dinner.
I don’t have to leave early today.

Unit 2 Vocab Words: We practiced our new Unit 2 Vocabulary: beak, toucan, jaguar, branch, creeper, anteater, sloth, anaconda, beetle, pool

Student’s Book: We worked through Page 26 and 27 in our Student’s Books. We read and listened to the Unit 2 Story.

Grammar: Did SB 24, talked about how to create questions, turning has to/have to negative, and sentence creation. Did WB 23 Activity 1.

Guessing game: Students were given a white board, I asked questions like „What is the population of Prague?“ The students wrote a number and said it to me, the student closest to the real number won.

Jeopardy: Students broke up into three teams, we did a Jeopardy about Have to/Has to obligations. The jeopardy went over sentence unscrambling, sentence creation, negatives vs positives, and fill in the blank.

Book work: Did SB 24 full page: students in pairs practiced the dialogue in front of the class. We talked about what the dialogue means using ‚has to/have to‘.

Practice: In pairs students made their own dialogue talking about a made up video game or their favourite game, done in front of the class.

New grammar: taught the new grammar, practiced with a quiz and jeopardy teams
