Introduction: We opened the class by playing a game of Scattegories
Notebooks: In our notebooks we looked at a slide of various objects and wrote sentences about what they are made of and used for. Students then guessed what object others had written about.
Example: Its made of wood. It’s used for playing music. ANSWER: Guitar
Unit 5 Vocabulary: robbers, jail, wagon, sheriff, saddle, pistol, handcuffs, rope, barrel
- Unit 4 Grammar: We learned our second grammar point of the unit ‚s
Example: The cowboy’s horse is brown.
Plural: The cowboys‘ horses are brown
Native American Project: Students were assigned a Native American Tribe and given research materials to answer the following questions.
Needs to Include:
- Where in North America did they live?
- What were their homes like?
- What did they eat/hunt?
- Two facts about their culture
- Two fun/interesting facts
- 1 Full Color Picture
