We divided in to 2 teams to do the theme of the lesson, writing the best Halloween story. We warmed up by playing a game of tense relay, racing to do a fill in the gaps exercise.

Idioms
We learnt some idioms to put into our story, then played a game in our teams to see who could remember the idioms the best.

1. Ghost townA deserted, quiet place.
2. Scared stiffTo be completely paralyzed by fear.
3. Skeletons in the closetA shameful secret from the past.
4. Dig one’s own graveTo do something that will cause big problems later.
5. Night owlA person who stays up late at night.
