    Notebooks: Students made up a holiday and traditions for their new holiday and then discussed it with the class.

    Intro: We began class by warming up our brains with a game of Scattegories

    Notebooks: Students wrote and discussed these questions about jobs:

    New Vocabulary: Introduced our new words: farmer, artist, engineer, designer, cleaner, dentist, businessman, businesswoman, computer programmer, mechanic.

    Easter Games and Activities: Played Easter games and had an „Easter Party“.

    Portfolio: Did some grammar review from Unit 7 for the students who would take that test today.

    Test: missing students completed test while other students did a worksheet.

    Karoke Wednesday: Today we did 2 karoke songs for reading practice.

    Story Project: I brought in my camera that prints photos. I split the students into teams. First they had to make an idea for a story using past tense grammar. Then I would take students to the hall way in groups, they would tell me what photos they needed for their stories. Then I printed and gave to them, they glued on nice paper and wrote stories. after they shared with the class.

    Review: Grammar review using I’ve just ____, etc. Went over the present perfect.

    Game: Charades using present perfect. Students in teams had one member acting out the word whilst the other team had one minute to guess as many as possible.

    Activity: Present Perfect Bingo, each card had the present perfect form and I called out the verb and used it in a sentence.

    SB: Page 86-87 we listened to the story together and did activity 3 and 4.

    WB: Page 86, activity 1 and 2 from the story.

    Final game: Present Perfect Baamboozle.

    Today we had both classes mixed so we focused on unit 4-6 review. Past units and new unit material!

    Grammar activity: We watched an episode of Peppa Pig, during the video students wrote 10 sentences using the new grammar to describe what Peppe had just done.

    Portfolio: introduced could you and do you mind questions

    New Grammar: Did page 73 in the SB, talked about the new grammar and watched the Leo the Lion video. Each student made a question. Did activity 1 and 2 of page 73 in the WB.

    Story: We did SB story on page 74/75. We listened and read the story, students also acted it out. We did activity 3 and 4 in pairs.

    Game: both classes did really well with all their work today, rewarded with a game of Mafia outside!

    Activity: With many students out for the ski trip, we did activities outside of the textbook. Today we focused on Europe: capitals and flags. We did lots of matching, games, and bomb game.

    Game: we went outside with Mr.Will’s class and played a Werewolf!

    Intro: We began class by warming up our brains with a game of Scattegories.

    Notebooks: In our notebooks, students gave me even more advice on a few „problems“ I had. Practicing our new grammar should for advice and recommendations.

    Grammar Practice: Then students were assigned a problem, and they had to ask their classmates for advice using should.

    Unit 6 Vocab Words: We practiced our new Unit 6 Vocabulary: flag, cushion, cup and saucer, carpet, basket, rings, earrings, sunglasses, plate, comb, soap.

    Miss Lenka dnes představila anglickou zkoušku Flyers a ukázala nám některé její části. Podívali jsme se také na Certifikát, který absolventi zkoušky získají.     New Unit Vocabulary: Page 70, Talked about Cities, Countries, and Continents. Talked about Istanbul and watched a video on the markets of Istanbul. Did activity 1 and 2

    Vocabulary game: Cowboy Standoff and Vocabulary cards

    New Grammar: Went over should and Shouldn’t. Talked about rules and giving advice. Gave some situations and the student gave each other advice. Also talked about travelling students told me where they have went and what I should do if I go there.

    New Grammar: Introduced possessives on page 61. Talked about this a lot on the board and with examples from the students. (example: Honza’s book / the students‘ book)

    Activity: We watched a video about possessives, at the end I asked questions weather we add |’s| or |s’| and students went to one side of the classroom or the other.

    WB: We did page 61 in the workbook together.

    Activity: Possessives Jeopardy, using baamboozle. Split the students into teams and gave each a whiteboard marker, students wrote the answers and won points for their team.

    Review: re-taught the vocab and grammar for students that missed it. Had students teach me and the students thta missed!

    Bomb: We played the bomb game using the new and old vocabulary words.

    SB activity: We did page 65, learned about native americans, watched some videos on how they live, their homes, etc and talked about if we could live there, etc- good discussion!

    Game: Jeopardy, we played wild west jeopardy also including the new grammar!

When I said go they took three steps away from each other, and when i said shoot they turned and the first student to say the word correctly one a point for their team.

    After test Games: Today we talked about AI and food. Talked about whats real and fake, played games detecting what was Ai food or real.

    Portfolio: Unscramble the Zero Conditional sentences

    SB 50: Read together in groups, do activity 3 and 4. Go through new words, explain the story. Talked about birthday meals, what we eat on our birthdays, what we don’t like.

    Acitvity: Ordinal Numbers, dates, and holidays Bingo! Played two times, winners were able to choose videos and games.

    WB 50: Do activities 1,2,3 in groups, students practiced typing as we reviewed answers together.

    Portfolio: Going over bigger ordinal numbers.

    Game: We played the bomb game with new vocab.

    SB 49: Did the reading together, talked about food of the future. Introduced Zero Conditional using If. Spent a lot of time on this topic, at first it can be hard to understand but we got it!
    Video: watched this cool video about 3d printed food and if we would eat it in the future.

    Grammar: We went over the grammar again, each student first came up with their own sentences, then we came to the board to write second ones, we went around the class talking about their examples.

    WB 49: To go over the grammar again we did these first three activities together, and the third on in pairs.

    Ending Activity: we played a game on the computer of tik tak toe using zero conditional.

    Portfolio: Talking about dates, What date will it be in two weeks, what date next Friday, etc

    Sb 48: Talked about dialogues. First listened to the dialogues, then students read them out loud. Talked about pizza toppings.

    activity: first 5 minutes drawing their dream pizza (ice cream pizza, spaghetti pizza) and their nightmare pizza (spider pizza, etc) Then in pairs they made a 15 line dialogue to preform in class about the pizza, what they like, where they like to eat, etc

    video: brought back a video from first grade to inspire their dialogues.

    WB 48: Did activity 1 and 2 together.

    Game: Telling dates and reading calendars.

    Portfolio: Spelling/drawing new vocab

    Vocab review: Some students were missing so i had the students teach us the new words, then played a vocabulary game.

    New Grammar: SB 48 activity 1/2 Introduced new grammar, ordinal numbers/dates. Talked about birthdays and holidays.

    Writing: Did activities 1/2/3 in WB page 48 together

    Games: Team, oridinal numbers word search, winners chose the next game for this Baamboozle.

    Portfolio: talked about new years resolutions

    New Unit: Introduced new unit, unit number 5 in student book page 46. Also did Activity 1 and 2. Played pictionary and did spelling bee with the vocabulary words.

    Worksheet: Did this worksheet in groups, went over new words and made a game out of it

    Game: Played word association game between food and words from the restaurant.

    Intro: We warmed up our brains with a Christmas edition of Scattegories.

    Notebooks: In our notebooks we answered some Christmas questions:

    What’s your favorite thing about Christmas?

    Christmas Film and Activities: We concluded the lesson by watching the classic Christmas film „Home Alone“ in English and I gave the students some candy and treats while they watched and completed some Christmas activities at their desk.

    Test review today: Talked more about telling time, watched parts of this video on it and did this worksheet about it in groups. Used interactive clock to tell times, played this game in pairs.

    Vocabulary review: went through the vocab again: definitions, spelling, writing, and photos

    SB 38/39: We read the story in small groups, than did activity 1-4. The students all told me about the story and acted some parts out.

    Games: Did runnning jeopardy in three teams, not only do they have to get the answer right but they run around the classroom, its a fun one. here

    vocabulary tiles: We worked on spelling in groups with the tiles

    SB 36: We sang with the class, boys versus girls. Then a freeze dance. Did activity 1 along side WB page 36 activity 1 and 2

    SB 37: Introduced new grammar point telling time, should be a review for the kids.

    Activities: We did a few telling time activities on the board, interactive clock, and some team work here.

    Intro: We began class with a game of Scattegories to warm up our brains.

    Notebooks: In our notebooks we wrote down our dream vacation destination and three things we have to bring and two things we don’t have to bring on holiday with us.

    New Grammar: We introduced our second grammar point of the unit: using have to and don’t have to to speak about rules and obligations.
    Example:
    We have to bring boots to the jungle.
    She has to clean her room before dinner.
    I don’t have to leave early today.

    Unit 2 Vocab Words: We practiced our new Unit 2 Vocabulary: beak, toucan, jaguar, branch, creeper, anteater, sloth, anaconda, beetle, pool

    Student’s Book: We worked through Page 26 and 27 in our Student’s Books. We read and listened to the Unit 2 Story.

    Grammar: Did SB 24, talked about how to create questions, turning has to/have to negative, and sentence creation. Did WB 23 Activity 1.

    Guessing game: Students were given a white board, I asked questions like „What is the population of Prague?“ The students wrote a number and said it to me, the student closest to the real number won.

    Jeopardy: Students broke up into three teams, we did a Jeopardy about Have to/Has to obligations. The jeopardy went over sentence unscrambling, sentence creation, negatives vs positives, and fill in the blank.

    Book work: Did SB 24 full page: students in pairs practiced the dialogue in front of the class. We talked about what the dialogue means using ‚has to/have to‘.

    Practice: In pairs students made their own dialogue talking about a made up video game or their favourite game, done in front of the class.

    New grammar: taught the new grammar, practiced with a quiz and jeopardy teams

    Unit 0 Vocab Words: We wrote down and practiced our Unit 0 Vocab: goggles, shelf, apron, explosion, bubbles, liquid, instructions, powder, test tube, gloves.

    Students Book: We worked through Page 4 in the Yellow Book.

    Poster: As a class we began finalizing our poster which will hang in the main hallway of the school.

    Introduction: I introduced myself to the students and they introduced themselves to me!

    Games: played two truths and a lie to get to know each other better.

    Poster: learned about our class mascot and coloured our animals for the poster.

    Portfolio and rules: handed out portfolios and went over classroom rules.
