Class dojo
We received the first class dojo points of the year for arriving in class prepared, with our books, and ready to get going with our LEAP class.

Homework
Homework is assigned, pages 4 and 5 of the workbook, it is due in next Monday, the 21st September.

Warm up
We warmed up our brains with a game of werewolf, it’s always good fun.

Unit vocabulary
We learnt the unit 0 vocabulary. The words are ; goggles, shelf, apron, explosion, bubbles, liquid, instructions, test tube, powder and gloves. We played a game of rock, paper, scissors to really get to know the words well.

Student’s book
We worked through the exercises on page 4 of the student’s book, practising our new vocabulary.

Class poster
We added the almost finishing touches to our class poster, it’s looking good.

Warm up
We got our brains into English mode by playing a game of werewolf

Class poster
We spent most of the lesson planning, and starting our class poster, there was lots of good discussion about what we should put in it, talking about where Cheetahs live, and what animals and plants live there with them. We will have a picture of it when it is finished next week.

End of the lesson
We tidied up, and had a warm down game of werewolf

Super Minds Books
We received our Super Minds books, and portfolios, and started to decorate the portfolios

Introduction
We filled in ‚Hello, my name is‘ forms, so that Mr Nick can learn who he is talking to

Getting to know each other
We all filled in forms with facts about our favorite things, finding out about what everyone else’s favorites are

Cheetah pics
Mr Nick gave us all a Cheetah picture to colour in, ready for when we make the class poster

Class rules
We all decided on the class rules for the year, and wrote them as a first entry into our portfolios, so we can always be reminded of them easily

Werewolf
We finished the lesson with a game of werewolf, time had really flown by
