Class dojo We received class dojo points for coming to class Prepared and ready for the test
Warm up We warmed up our brains ready for the test by reviewing the Unit 0 vocabulary on the flashcards. We practised question forms and practised making true/false statements
Portfolios We practised forming the past tense of verbs in our portfolios, taking the base form of the verb, and writing the past tense down.
Test We did the Unit 0 test
Books Some of us picked books from the library to take home and do book reports on, they will be due back to the library in 2 weeks
Irregular verb worksheet We received a worksheet on irregular verbs to work on at home when we want to do some practise with them
Warm down We did an animal quiz on bamboozle to warm down after the hard work we did on the test
Unit 0 test will be on Monday 29.9 No homework before then
Class dojo. Students received points for coming to the lesson Prepared with their Super Minds textbooks, and for Working hard and Speaking English.
Warm up We played Past Tense bingo to practice the tenses we will need to know for the test on Monday.
Portfolio We did a fill in the gap exercise to practice our unit vocabulary for Monday’s test. We recommend the students review this again at home as there will be an almost identical activity on the Test.
Super Minds We completed page 7 of the Student’s book, and the Workbook, and read the story on page 8 of the Student’s book. If a student was absent, please make sure that they complete the pages by the next week
Homework: Please scratch off the Activation Codes in Both the Student’s Book and Workbook and register both books on the Cambridge One Platform. We will be checking that the codes have been scratched off during the next class.
Please do Activity number 2 on page 6 of the Workbook to check that you know where to find the audio resources on Cambridge One.

Class Dojo: At the start of class, students receive Class Dojo points for coming Prepared with their Super Minds textbooks, for having done their Homework, and for any Book Reports they have done. At the end of class students receive further points for Working hard and Speaking English.
Warm Up: Wordwall to practice irregular past tense.
We recommend the students play this at home as these are the verbs they will need to know for the Test
We also played a round of Around the World with irregular past tense flashcards.
Portfolio: Gap fill exercise to further practice irregular past tense.
We recommend the students review this again at home as there will be an almost identical activity on the Test.
Unit 0 Vocabulary review: We reviewed our Unit vocabulary using the Super Minds online flashcard resources. Students have access to these flashcards at home as well on Cambridge One (under Learner Resources), so we recommend they review and make sure they can spell all Unit vocabulary.
Super Minds: We made sure all students have completed pages 4-6 in both the Student’s Book and Workbook. If a student was absent, please make sure they complete these pages by the next class. If a student did not complete all exercises on pages 4-6 in SB and WB, please make sure they do by the next class. We will begin page 7 in SB and WB next class.
Class Poster: We finished our Class Poster and are looking forward to showing it off in our hallway soon.
Scientific Invention: Students worked alone or in pairs to create their own invention which would make their school life easier. We will finish and present during the next lesson.

Warm Up We made 2 teams and we played Taboo to warm up our English brains, using our unit 0 flashcards and practising our new vocabulary : goggles, shelf, apron, explosion, bubbles, liquid, instructions, test tube, powder, and gloves
Student’s Book We completed pages 4 and 5 of the Student’s book, learning about the science lesson vocabulary and doing a logic puzzle, finding out which lessons certain kids had been to from the clues on the page.
Workbook We did pages 4 and 5 of the Workbook
Posters We continued working on our class poster, gluing on the cheetahs that we have coloured in
Warm down We finished the lesson by playing a game of werewolf, a game that practices vocabulary
Homework was set…page 6 of Super Minds by next Monday. We chose new class dojos categories, and scores. We played scattegories to get into English. We chose a song to use during break time during this unit. We started our Super Minds books, and did page 4. We carried on with our class poster.
We listened to the sound of a cheetah calling, we were going to learn all about our mascot. We did a mind map of the things we know about Cheetahs, then we played a game of word chain using words to do with cheetahs . We watched a video all about Cheetahs and found out lots of new facts about them. We answered questions based on the video. We started out class poster.
We started by learning about our new teacher, Mr Nick, finding out where he comes from, which is Wales, in the UK. We received our new textbooks and portfolios, wrote our names on them, and started to decorate the covers. We played 2 truths and a dream to learn more about our classmates and then filled in ‘All about me’worksheets. We had a class discussion about the importance of rules, and came up with a list of class rules which we wrote in our portfolios. We taught Mr Nick the rules of ‘Werewolf’ and ‘Mafia’, and played a few rounds of the game. Finally, we thought about one thing we had learnt or enjoyed in our class today.
