Summary: We reviewed how to read maps and give directions in English. We also practiced using prepositions of place in relation to other buildings when describing how to find monuments and tourist attractions in a city. We also practiced giving directions for navigating Prague Metro!
Game: Sticky ball map! This was a great way for students to select random points on a map and then describe how to get from point A to point B.
Real life practice: Students discussed their favourite places in Prague (Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, Skate Park Vlatska, McDonalds in Smíchov Mall, etc) and then they explained why they picked it, how to get there, and what you can do there.

Please encourage your child to review and study at home to help prepare them. The test will be a review for units 0-2.

Game: Students played a speed recognition game for jobs, and a speed writing game for telling time. We focused on using phrases like, “quarter to five, half past six, twenty-five to ten, etc.”
