Intro: We began class by warming up our brains with a game of Scattegories

Notebooks: Students wrote and discussed these questions about jobs:

New Vocabulary: Introduced our new words: farmer, artist, engineer, designer, cleaner, dentist, businessman, businesswoman, computer programmer, mechanic.

Easter Games and Activities: Played Easter games and had an „Easter Party“.

Took Unit 7 test! Students did super well.

Portfolio: Review of present perfect

Review: Grammar review using I’ve just ____, etc. Went over the present perfect.

Game: Charades using present perfect. Students in teams had one member acting out the word whilst the other team had one minute to guess as many as possible.

Activity: Present Perfect Bingo, each card had the present perfect form and I called out the verb and used it in a sentence.

SB: Page 86-87 we listened to the story together and did activity 3 and 4.

WB: Page 86, activity 1 and 2 from the story.

Final game: Present Perfect Baamboozle.

Portfolio: Grammar Math, contractions practice

Vocab practice: played Cowboy standoff and Battle Arena with unit 4-6 vocabulary

SB: 84, listened to the song and did activity 1. Did karaoke from the book then Karaoke in teams and WB 84: activity 1 and 2. Did rhyming game.

SB 85: New grammar, did activity 1 and played charades using the new Grammar; „he’s/she’s just…“

grammar activity: Watched one episode of Peppa Pig, students wrote 10 sentences during the video using the new grammar to desrcribe what Peppa had just done in the show.

Game: Heads up on iphone.

Portfolio: Talked about the theatre

New unit: Began unit 7, new vocabulary, page 82 activity 1

Vocab: Chinese Whisper

New Grammar: Began new grammar, talking about contractions and future will.

Portfolio: introduced could you and do you mind questions

New Grammar: Did page 73 in the SB, talked about the new grammar and watched the Leo the Lion video. Each student made a question. Did activity 1 and 2 of page 73 in the WB.

Question Creation: game here

Story: We did SB story on page 74/75. We listened and read the story, students also acted it out. We did activity 3 and 4 in pairs.

Game: both classes did really well with all their work today, rewarded with a game of Mafia outside!

Portfolio: introduced giving advice using should and shouldn’t

discussion: advice wheel , students gave me advice, we talked about different ways to handle situations!

SB and WB: dialogues in page 72, did activities then worked in pairs.

activity: played city guesser, we have begun to talk about cities, capitals, and countries and this is a fun game to talk about that!

New Unit Vocabulary: Page 70, Talked about Cities, Countries, and Continents. Talked about Istanbul and watched a video on the markets of Istanbul. Did activity 1 and 2

Vocabulary game: Cowboy Standoff and Vocabulary cards

New Grammar: Went over should and Shouldn’t. Talked about rules and giving advice. Gave some situations and the student gave each other advice. Also talked about travelling students told me where they have went and what I should do if I go there.
