Intro: We began class by finishing and presenting our Ecosystem Projects.
Ecosystem Project: Students chose an ecosystem (Desert, Rainforest, Tundra, and Savanna) and researched the following questions about them:

Where are they?
What kind of plants are there?
What kinds of animals are there?
What is the climate (weather)?

Hotseat: We played a game of hotseat to practice our Unit 2 Vocabulary.

New Grammar: We introduced our second grammar point of the unit: using have to and don’t have to to speak about rules and obligations.
Example:
We have to bring boots to the jungle.
She has to clean her room before dinner.
I don’t have to leave early today.

Notebooks: In our notebooks we wrote rules that our classmates would have to follow if certain numbers on a dice were rolled:
1: You have to sing the ABCs.

2: You have to compliment your partner.

3: You have to dance for 10 seconds.

4: You have to stand on one leg for 10 seconds

5: You have to do 5 push ups.

6: You have to spell a Vocab Word

Unit 2 Vocab Words: We practiced our new Unit 2 Vocabulary: beak, toucan, jaguar, branch, creeper, anteater, sloth, anaconda, beetle, pool

Student’s Book: We worked through Page 25 in our Student’s Books.

PAGES 22 and 23 of the Workbook are assigned as HW for 11.11

Intro: We began class with a game of Scattegories to warm up.

Notebooks: Students wrote and discussed wether they would have rather vist the African Savanna OR the Amazon Rainforest and 3 reasons why.

New Unit 2 Vocab Words: We introduced our new Unit 2 Vocabulary: beak, toucan, jaguar, branch, creeper, anteater, sloth, anaconda, beetle, pool

Student’s Book: We worked through Page 22 in our Student’s Books.

Halloween Party: We did some Halloween related activities and ate some candy.

  UNIT 1 TEST: We wrote our Unit 1 Test.
  
  Have a great fall break!

• OUR UNIT 1 TEST WILL BE ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 25th.
  
  Intro: We began class with a game of Scattegories to warm up.
  
  While Practice: Students would come to the front and act out actions at the same time for 10 seconds. When they finished the rest of the class would make a sentence.
  
  Example: While Tim was sleeping, Sara was flying a plane.
  
  Notebooks: In our notebooks we looked at two pictures and wrote sentences using While to describe what we saw.
  
  Example: While Spiderman was swinging, Cinderella was cleaning her house.
  
  Unit 1 Vocab Words: We practiced our new Unit 1 Vocabulary: smoke, volcano, temple, theatre, statue, vase, fountain, servant, columns, and horse and cart.
  
  Example: While John was reading a book, his sister was watching TV.
  
  Students Book: We worked through Page 14 and 15 in the Yellow Book.
  
  Unit Story Act Out: We practiced our lines and acted out our Unit Story in two groups.

PAGES 12 (Activity 1) and 13 of the Workbook are assigned as HW for 21.10

Intro: We began class with a game of Hotseat to practice our vocabulary.

Notebooks: In our notebooks we watched this video and wrote down 4 things Spongebob was doing. This helped practice our past continuous grammar.

Unit 1 Vocab Words: We introduced our new Unit 1 Vocabulary: smoke, volcano, temple, theatre, statue, vase, fountain, servant, columns, and horse and cart.

New Grammar: We introduced our second grammar point of the unit: Using „While“ to speak about two things happening at the same time in the past.

Example: While John was reading a book, his sister was watching TV.

Students Book: We worked through Page 13 in the Yellow Book.

End of Class Game: We ended class with a game of Mafia. Where students have to work together to find our who the „murderer“ is.

We practiced for and wrote our Unit 0 Test.

Students will bring each test home after all students in the class have taken the test and all tests have been graded.
