Sumamry: Today we started unit 7. We focused on nature problems (littering, air pollution, deforestation, etc).
Giving Advice: Students practiced giving and asking for advice (“What should I do? You should/shouldn’t…”). This will be our grammar focus for this unit.
Plink-oh!: This was a great way for the students to practice giving advice for various problems.

Discussion: Students shared their plans for the Easter holiday. It was a fun opportunity to learn about their family’s traditions.
Mystery Game: Students brought in some mystery items so we could play this game. It was a great way to practice asking and answering questions about what different items feel, taste, sound, smell and sound like.
Easter Bingo: This was a fun activity to review vocabulary for Easter and its traditions (grass, Easter egg, duckling, chick, basket, tulip, etc)

Homework – WB str. 84 – vypracovat prosím do následujícího úterý Portfolio – Is she wearing blue shoes? Yes, she is. Is he wearing yellow T-shirt? No, he isn’t. Odpovídáme na otázky podle obrázků.
Activity – formou hry v kruhu opakujeme slovíčka jednotlivých kusů oblečení – “Touch your SHOES!” “What is this?” (point to sweater, hat……)
Bookwork – Grammar practice first with – Do you like This? These? Yes, I do. No, I don’t. Is she/he wearing green socks……..?
SB 86 & 87 – společně posloucháme nový příběh našich hrdinů, dělíme se do skupinek a společně text čteme, na závěr jsme se podívali na video příběhu, odpovídáme na otázky podle obrázků, WB – str. 85, 86 & 87

Class Dojo – rozdělujeme si body za práci v hodině
Mystery game: We played a guessing game to practice asking and answering what things look, smell, taste, feel, sound like. This was a great way to practice our vocabulary and grammar.
Relay Race: We reviewed past tense, present tense, and present continuous tense. This was a fun and fast way to practice verb tenses.
Extra credit: Students can bring in a mystery item to smell, touch, taste, feel, or hear.
Summary: We continued our unit focused on the senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste). We discussed our favorite and least favorite things to hear and why.
How can we hear?: Students watched a video on how sound travels. We learned how sound waves travel through vibrations, and what makes sounds higher or lower. We also learned that sound cannot travel through space because there’s no air!

Pizza: Students designed their own pizza with their favourite ingredients. This was a fun way to practice our new vocabulary (dough, thick crust and thin crust, oven, herbs like basil, thyme, and rosemary, etc)
Rorschach test: Each student created a rorschach ink blot test, and we all discussed what it looked like. Look at our rorschach tests. What do they look like to you?
