Class Dojo: At the start of class, students receive Class Dojo points for coming Prepared with their Super Minds textbooks, for having done their Homework, and for any Book Reports they have done. At the end of class students receive further points for Working hard and Speaking English.

We recommend the students play this at home as these are the verbs they will need to know for the Test

We also played a round of Around the World with irregular past tense flashcards.

Portfolio: Gap fill exercise to further practice irregular past tense.

We recommend the students review this again at home as there will be an almost identical activity on the Test.

If a student did not complete all exercises on pages 4-6 in SB and WB, please make sure they do by the next class. We will begin page 7 in SB and WB next class.

Class Poster: We finished our Class Poster and are looking forward to showing it off in our hallway soon.

Scientific Invention: Students worked alone or in pairs to create their own invention which would make their school life easier. We will finish and present during the next lesson.

Monday 22.9.

Homework: Domácí úkol je zadán ve Workbooku (bílé knize) a je to celá strana 7. Splnění úkolu budeme kontrolovat v pondělí 29. 9..

Test z Unit 0 se bude psát v pondělí 29. 9. Prosím, aby se žáci na test připravili – zaměříme se na látku z celé nulté lekce.

Intro: Na začátku jsme si ukázali fotografie různých činností a každý student o nich tvořil věty ve formátu (např. I like…, He/She doesn’t like…)

Portfolio: V rámci práce do portfolia jsme na tabuli měli pět „pomíchaných“ slov k rozluštění: tsujoalirn → journalist, mrayo → mayor, bdna → band, erllstoarreco → rollercoaster, aeptoohgrphr → photographer.

Bookwork: V hodině jsme pracovali s učebnicí na straně 7 a udělali jsme cvičení 1,2 a 3. 

Workbook: V hodině jsme zkontrolovali domácí úkol, který byl zadán na straně 4 a 5. Společně jsme opravili případné chyby a vysvětlili nejasnosti.

Vocabulary and Phrases UNIT 0:
big wheel, roller coaster, roundabout, dodgem cars, band, mayor, microphone, journalist, photographer

Other information/activities: 

Hra „I like/I don’t like – Studenti obdrželi pracovní list a pohybovali se po třídě. Ptali se spolužáků, zda jsou v jednotlivé aktivity mají či nemají rádi, a odpovědi si zaznamenávali. Poté jsme výsledky společně zkontrolovali.

Pracovní list – Žáci dostali pracovní list s větami, ve kterých byla pomíchaná slova. Ve dvojicích je skládali správně a zapisovali celé věty.

Hra Journalist – Žáci pracovali s malými tabulkami a hráli hru „Journalist“. Učitel vždy řekl otázku, na kterou student A napsal jednoslovnou odpověď. Student B se pak ptal na podrobnosti jako novinář, a to pomocí otázek se slovy Did you, Were you, Was…. Poté se role vystřídaly. Aktivitu nejprve předvedla paní učitelka Alena společně s vyučujícím.

Žákům byl ukázán test z Unit 0, který se bude psát v pondělí 29. 9

Workbook: V hodině jsme zkontrolovali domácí úkol, který byl zadán na straně 5. Společně jsme opravili případné chyby a vysvětlili nejasnosti

Games: 

  • skládání názvu čísla z magnetických písmen na týmy. 

Other information/activities: 

Hra „I am good at“

Studenti obdrželi pracovní list a pohybovali se po třídě. Ptali se spolužáků, zda jsou v jednotlivých aktivitách dobří, a odpovědi si zaznamenávali. Poté jsme výsledky společně zkontrolovali.
